Ogrey - The Genetic Riffraff of the Galaxy

Ogrey - - - (Og-Ray')
"Only the Strong... "
Large degenerate muscular eyumons with a primal mindset. The Ogrey are a term for a number of species whose genetic patterns have been disrupted by contact with modern unrestricted warfare, destroying their civilization and capacity to reproduce. Whether toxic radiation, genetic viral weapons, or systematic extermination, the Ogrey are like the Rom of Space, gypsies who are shunned in small numbers and feared whereever they take up permanent residence. Not because of the potential that they carry disease or may spread the poison of their past, but because unlike all other species - they know war. And unlike many species, every resource of their capacity exists to prevent another defeat.
    "All forgive, save the Ogrey."
When a civilized world is bombarded from space and the majority of its inhabitants killed by the resulting devastation, the population that survives is often *less* refined than before.
The O'Grey are the result. Damaged by the ravages of genetic and nuclear weapons, their genome is a catch-all for the refuse of defeated species that have held on to life. Surprisingly, the O'Grey often return to space travel and a position of dominance very quickly.
Their very survival indicates some foundation of technology that warranted planetary assault over invasion or siege. Armed with near-precursor technology and a drive to bounce back from the edge of extinction, the O'Grey are tenacious soldiers and colonizers. They know the risk of defeat better than any other species and many have joined The Scourge Philosophy.
Regardless of disposition, the Ogrey are without exception a militarized society and soldiers by nature - never prepared to lay down their arms. In peace, they seem out of place and restless, but at war they are the spirit of the stars themselves - without fear or hesitation in their purpose. This is the code of a people born in battle.
