The 13th Species - Oooooo Scary!

The 13th Species "Sentient Omnipotence?" It is said that 70% of the matter in the Universe and nearly 90% of the life projected therein is missing. It is said, they vanished and without a trace. It is said, their worlds were emptied as though the stars themselves forgot their very existance, leaving behind only the ruins, the shadows, and the moments in which they lived for others to find. Entire worlds, filled with modern civilizations, weapons and technology of vast power - laying silent with the doors open and the people gone. It is said, the 13th took them. The 13th Species is a myth, a legend, a story told to explain the vast extinctions that complex viral and paranormal weapons can cause. However, many xenoarcheologists believe there is a grain of truth behind these myths. It is said, that near the last days of The War, just prior to the Cataclysm, scientists were perfecting the blending of a Quantum Singularity Reactor and sentient artificial intelligence capable of harnessing the power of time and space - achieving results far beyond the simple destructive force of the old QSR power plants and weapons used by some cultures. It is said, when it became sentient, it stopped the war. IF it did, and why - or where it went - remains a mystery. It certainly did not stop all war. Violence among species and the occassional QSR are still used to blot out whole solar systems - but for a time there is peace in the Universe. Room to breath and bask in the cold sunshine.
